Nadine wanted to come along to help Boog find Elliot and Nolan, but decided it was best to look after Blaze just in case something happen, she nodded in agreement as soon as the mighty grizzly left.
"Elliot! Elliot, come on out! We have to talk. ELLIOT!!" Nolan called as he was still searching for his little bro. It didn't take him that long to find the small scrawny little mule deer, he spotted Elliot sitting down in the groud covering his face feeling sad and disapointed but did not show off his anger towards his big brother. Nolan slowly walks towards him. "Elliot?" He says in a low voice.
"Why?!" Elliot cries, still covering his face, not looking back at Nolan. Nolan didn't say anything, he hung his head down for a moment. "Elliot..." He says again. This time Elliot finally looks at Nolan in the face, but was still feeling upset, he had small tears in his eyes as he was showing off his anger.
"All this time.....all this time you were here! You were never there for me! Why?" Elliot cries. Nolan didn't knew how to answer. He thought for sure that their folks or maybe Suri could had explain to him why Nolan wasn't around with them for years.
"Elliot, I can expalin...if you would just listen to me for one second." Nolan says. Elliot stood there saying anything. But he figure it was time to him to hear his brother's story, without saying another word to him to make it feel worse. Nolan signed, he stood there quietly for a moment then asks him something important. "Did....did Mom and Dad or Suri ever explain to you about.....that fire incident that happen..a long time ago Elliot?" Nolan asked. Elliot rubs his small little white hairy chin. He haven't thought much about it, but he remember it clearly when his older sister told him about it back then, but not all the details.
"Not really....they didn't say much why we were never in a herd of our own." Elliot tells him. This explains a lot to Nolan, he nodded his head knowing Elliot that he understood. "You see....a long time ago, when me and Suri were taking you out to play with us, hunters came in and.....started this huge fire that spread the woods. You were only a baby fawn when this happen, so I know it's clear that you don't remember huh?" He asks. Elliot shook his head no, he never remember anything at all about a fire that long ago. "You, me and your sister hid underneath this old damp tree when the fire was going on. There were so many deers running away from the big fire, we didn't know what else to do...but I can tell from the look on your faces, you and Suri were both scared."
Elliot couldn't believe this, why didn't Suri ever explain this to him back then before his sepration? "Keep going." He says, wanting to hear more about this terrible memory that cause his brother to get seprated from his family. Nolan continued on. "We knew Mom and Dad were worried about us so I decided to take charge. I promise them I wouldn't let anything happen to you and Suri. I told you two by the count of three, we would stay together and race back to our parents. Once we did, this big firey log thing got in my way and I didn't see what happen to you guys. Suri had you with her when we try to get back to Mom and Dad, after the fire incident died, I search high and low for you guys, but...I didn't had any luck." Nolan finished. Elliot stood quiet. Everything from what he heard from that story was so depressing and scary, he couldn't figure what else to say...that is until Nolan spoke up again.
"But....there's one thing I don't understand. Why were you with that bear and those other two deers?" He asks. "And who was the little one? You never told me who he was....or the bear. And why aren't you with Mom, Dad and Suri?" He kept asking. So many questions, Elliot didn't think he could answer them, but he mostly didn't wanna answer the last one, it was too depressing to talk about. He sighed sadly. "Suri's dead." He tells him. Nolan was what. "What? What do you mean she's dead?" He asks devastated. "A hunter killed her....I got seprated from Mom and Dad after it happen, I've haven't seen them ever since." He says.
