"LEAVE HIM ALONE MCSQUIZZY!" Nadine yelled back at the old squirrel. "What's so wrong about leaning over on a tree? We're not doing anything to it!"

"Eye, but I've got a repuutetion tu uphold, I caan't jest let ya lean on meh trees en' luk aul soft!! Nou get oat of ere 'else yuu'll be facin' the clan!" McSquizzy shouted back, giving the signal to the other squirrells to pop up. So, naturally, they all popped up at once and shouted in perfect unison and always... "OI!!"...

Nadine was getting angerily upset with McSquizzy's bossy attidude. "Oh yeah? Well I..." "Mom! Let it go, before he...." Hazel tries to warn his mother, but then out came the entire clan of 20 thousand squirrels. "Uhh....okay new plan. RUN!!" Cries Nadine soon as they started throwing their nuts at them.

"Thaat's riight lasseh! Yuu keep on runnan... and keep yhar mits off meh trees!!" McSquizzy shouted at the group as they ran for cover, but there was something nobody had accounted for. The weight of one squirrel is nothing for a tree, but twenty tousand was just too much. Suddenly, the tree on which they were all standing began to shift... and just seconds later, before any could react, it gave way under the huge weight of the clan, slamming to the ground with an earth-shaking crash!

"Whoa...that was close. Everyone okay?" Said Nadine after the dusty smoke clear from the fallen tree. "Yeah we're fine.....did....did that tree just fell?" Said Oliver looking in disbelief. None of them ever saw one of McSquizzy's trees fell like that before...not with more than 20 squirrels in it. "Just goes to show you that no one should be owning thousands of trees to themselves in a forest." Said Hazel.

"I hear ya on that one..." Boog agreed with Hazel. "What else do you expect from a fat squirrel...?" Elliot muttered under his breath. "What was that?" Boog asked suspiciously... "What? Ohh... uhhh, Nothing!" Elliot said, pretending to be innocent as can be. Boog got up and turned towards the others... "Think we should help them... or call it Karma?" Boog asked the group...

"Boog, they're squirrels! They don't need our help! Let them burried their faces in dirt all they want. That outta teach them a lesson about owning what's right and what's not." Hazel said to Boog.
Nadine open her mouth to say something, but stop. She agreed with her son's comment. For once, Hazel stated a very good excellent point instead being the pest in the family as usual. The purple marked face doe stop in her train of thoughts, then spoke up. "Hazel's right." She said, then looks towards the colorful sunset. "It's getting late. We should find a place to rest before it gets dark."

"Yeah..." Elliot said, beginning to look around. He soon spotted a meadow not too far off which seemed to be banked off. The banking would be perfect for everybody to sleep on... "Hey, there's a place right over there!" he said...

"Nice spot pickin' Elliot. I can use a peaceful place to rest for the night." Said Nadine smiling. She took a smooth deep breath. The fresh crisp air smell as sweet as the first day of spring.
"Hey where are you guys going?" Asked Oliver when he sees that Nolan and Arwin were leaving. "You guys are fine on your own now that the hunters are takin' care of." Nolan replied. "Yeah, but we'll still be around next time there's trouble. Don't worry, we'll be in the far corner over there if you need us. We're planning on staying up tonight and keeping guard." Explained Arwin. The others nodded in agreement.
"Sounds good. We can use the extra bodyguard to stay put, right Elliot?" Nadine said to her husband, putting her hoof on his shoulder.

"Sure, I guess." Elliot said with optimism... "Just make sure you two don't tire yourselves out!" he said light-heartedly. "Well, time for this bear to hit the hay..." Boog said, followed by a yawn. "There's no hay here, silly!" Elliot giggled. "Ugh... you know what I meant" Said Boog as he fell to the ground to rest.

"Don't worry, we'll be fine." Nolan said smiling at his little bro. "COOL! I get dibs on pouncing big bear here!" Oliver giggled running towards the sleepy Boog and playfully pounces on top of his big belly. "Hey no fair! I wanted to call shot-gun!" Shouted Hazel happily going after him. "There's no such thing as a shot-gun!" Reply his twin brother. "Yes there is!" Hazel said back to his brother and pounces on top of the mighty grizzly's huge big furry belly.

Realising The fawns were bouncing upon his belly, Boog pretended to be asleep. But instead of doing nothing, he rolled over quickly to shake them off. "Heheh..." Boog whispered under his breath...

"All right you two, stop fooling around and let your uncle Boog catch his rest." Nadine said to the twins after Boog rolled them off to the side carefully from his big belly.
"Awww but Ma....." They whimper, giving their mother the puppy dog eyes. "You heard ma! And stop using those sad eyes, they never work." Suri said shaking her head. "Your sister is right and it's time you kids get your rest." Nadine added. "But we're not sleepy!" Cried Oliver. "Yeah, we're too excited to sleep the rest of the night. Can we stay up late with Arwin and Nolan?" Hazel asked kindly grinning his sheepish grin, but it wasn't working for Nadine.
"No you're too young and you need your sleep or else you'll be too tired to stay awake for the day!" "Fine!" Pouted Hazel. "But I'm still not..." He was saying, but let out a big tiring yawn. "....sleepy." "Suri, find your brothers a spot to rest will you sweetie?" Nadine says to her daughter. "Sure thing Mom! Come on guys, we can chat til you guys hit the hay." Suri said, leading Hazel and Oliver to rest under an old oak tree. "But there is no hay to rest on." Oliver stated. "It's a figure of speech!" She tells him.

Nadine lay down next to Elliot and quietly went to sleep. The rest who were only awake were Nolan, Arwin and the fawns. Suri and her twin brothers talk the night away but grew bored and try to go to sleep. Night soon got quiet. Nothing was left but the nice toasty warm of the fire Arwin and Nolan were at to keep guard in case there was trouble.
Everyone was happily dreaming their dreams, all expect for Nadine who was having a terrible nightmare that night. The doe toss back and forth, waving her fists everywhere as if she was punching someone. "No! Stay away!" She cries; ears twiching like never before. "Stay away from my-" Nadine stop tossing around, she grunts trying to get away from the hands of something that was attacking her. She woke up in a frighting shierk sure enough to scare Elliot to death who was sleeping next to her. "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!"
