"Glad I can be of service little brother." Nolan said smiling and begin to head back to help Arwin keep guard. Everything was fine for the rest of the group but unfortunalty Suri and the others were having trouble sleeping. Suri sighs frustated trying to get her rest but she couldn't. "Can't sleep?" Oliver said. "You can't neither?! I thought you were already asleep!" Suri says notcing that the twins were still awake. "We were, but....is something bothering you Suri? You look distracted." Asked Hazel when he notice there was something wrong with her.
"I can't help but think about the secrets...and the fact that mom never told her folks that she wanted to her live as a deer. Do you think they're still around?"
"Who? Her parents? I'm sure they are, but why are you wondering about that?" Hazel asked. "Think about it...all our lives they been holding secrets from us, but having a human grandparent? That's gotta be the most lowest thing she's ever done to us!" Suri said. "What are you planning to do?" Oliver spoke up. "We should find them." Hazel didn't believe a word his sister was saying. "Are you kidding?! Didn't you hear what mom said? She said she came here to Timberline on vacation, wherever it is that she came from, there's no way we can reach our grandparents!"
"Not by foot we can't. We can find a plane or a bus to catch. Then we can reach wherever it is they live at." Suri reply. Hazel nodded, it did sounded like a good plan but he wasn't so sure if it was going to work or not. "Nice plan, but how are you planning on convincing these humans we're their grandkids? I bet they don't speak deer!"
"He has a point..." Oliver agreed.
"But haven't you ever thought about who our grandparents were and think that maybe there still worried about mom? There's nothing wrong by trying to visit them...don't you think?"
Hazel sighed. "I know what you mean, but.....what if there's more hunters looking for us? We can't protect ourselves out there!" He said. Hazel never worry about anything this serious before, but the plan had far went too much, even for him or his siblings.
"Don't worry Hazel, if any hunter shows up, I'll protect you guys. Don't forget, I'm the oldest here." She said. "I'm not sure if this is a good idea..." Oliver worried. "Oliver's right, but....I guess visiting won't be such a bad idea....as long as can we can tell them we're their grandkids. Do you think they'll listen to us?" Says Oliver. "Humans have good listening ears. I think they'll want to have a word with us. Let's go!" Suri said, getting up and ready to leave.
"But Nolan and Arwin are keeping watch! How are we gonna get past them?!" Oliver whispers, pointing over to the big buck and the large bear cub sitting near the campfire. "Ahhh, what's the big deal? Bodyguards never stay up that long in midnight." Hazel stated. "He's right. We can still sneak past them." Suri says. She and the boys quietly sneak past Arwin and Nolan soon as the two of them hit the hay and doze off to sleep.
