After having contemplated the situation over and over again, Elliot came to his own conclusion. The buck stood up just in time to hear Hazel's question concerning the search for Nadine. He walked towards the group ominously, looking down to the ground. He stopped just a few feet short, lifted his head slightly, took a deep breath and said the following:
"I'm not going. I'm not bending over backwards for anybody anymore. If your mother wants to leave, fine. It hurts. And it's going to continue to hurt for a good while. But I'll get over it some day. If she really loved us, she would have stayed through thick and thin. If she doesn't feel like she can do that, who am I to change her mind? I'm tired, and I want to live my life with the part of my family that won't run away because of a problem or two." The momentum of his speech grew... "We should stay together. We should be strong like a real family. So we lose a member, that's because she was weak. She couldn't cope with a family life. She ripped my heart out today, and I don't see why I should do anything to get her back! She tore my heart apart. And... and... YOU EXPECT ME TO PUT UP WITH HER?! THERE'S NOTHING LEFT BETWEEN ME AND HER! NOTHING!"
Elliot's rage died down in an instant... "We have nothing left between us. Nothing but Disturbing memories." he said.
The buck turned back around and lied back down behind the rock... "But like I said, I still want US to be a family." he whimpered...

Hazel and Oliver were crushed by their father's words on their mother. "Is....is that what you really think? Oliver asked sadly, too hurt for words.

The boys' hearts were broken. "If that's how you feel...FINE! If aunt Suri was here, she would know what to do. Come on guys! Let's go." Hazel said as he was the first one to walk outside from the cave, trying to keep his head up. Soon after the group left Elliot behind alone by himself in the cave, his big sister Suri reappeared. "Elliot how could you be so stubborn?" She said appearing out of nowhere by surprise.

"I'm done with going out of my way for others. Things just get bad again." Elliot replied to the dhost.

"Elliot....you and Nadine have come so far, you can't throw everything away. She's your wife! And right now, she and the family needs you!" Suri explains, trying to talk some sense into her little brother. "You think by sitting around and doing nothing is gonna help?! I may be dead Elliot, but as part of a family member, it's your job to look after them or else you'll end up deer of nothing! Nadine loves you, and it's time you show her your love back!!"

"If she loved me, she'd stay." Elliot said coldly.

"And you think bringing her back will make it worse?" Asked Suri with a serious look on her face staring at Elliot

"There's no point, don't you get it?! She left me, she left all of us! She can't take it anymore. I still love her, so I'm letting her go, so she can do what she wants. You remember the saying..." Elliot replied sharply, a tear growing in his eye.

Suri wanted for Elliot to pull himself together, but the little scrawny buck was being too selfish to go after his own wife and stop her from leaving. "The only weak one I see is you!" She said to Elliot coldly and starts to leave magically disappear into thin air. Meanwhile back with Boog and the others, they continue searching for Nadine hours and hours until they came across a huge airport! "There it is!" Pointed Hazel. "Do you think mom's there?" Oliver asked. "There's only one way to find out; we'll have to go and check!" Replied Hazel. "Uncle Boog, do you think there's a chance we'll convice her to come back without dad here?" He asked, looking at the mighty grizzly for an answer.

As they came to the massive airport, Boog took a minute to marvel at its size. He had never seen anything like it, only a small airfield in timberline where Beth's Helicopter was. This place had much bigger fliers, and much bigger runways. Not just a small strip. In fact... this place was at least four times bigger than Timberline! Suddenly, Boog's marveling was interrupted when Hazel asked: "Uncle Boog, do you think there's a chance we'll convince her to come back without dad here?"
Boog stopped a minute to think... "Uhh.. I dunno, but we better do everything we can!" he said.

Before Boog and the others began to search for Nadine, there was a small voice whispering to Hazel's ear. It was a slightly faint, but very clear for Hazel to listen carefully. It was the sound of his aunt's voice. "Hazel, you must find your mother quickly!"
"Huh?! Who said that?" Hazel said, looking back and fourth whom was talking to him. There he saw a shiny little thing that appear on his shoulder. "Aunt Suri?!" Hazel whispered quietly so the others wouldn't hear. "What are you doing here?" "Hazel, you must find a way to convice your mother to come back home before it's too late! I try to talk to your father, but he wouldn't listen. It's up to you and the others now!" She said and poof! Disappeared. Hazel turn to the others. "We gotta hurry! We don't have much time!!" "I think I see her!" Oliver pointed to what look like a strange looking small yellow animal heading her way to try and sneak in by hiding with the luggage that was aboarding inside the plane.
"That's her! Come on!!" Hazel shouted and began to be the first one to bolted off.

"Alright, but we all gotta be quiet or she might notice us and run away!" Boog said loud enough for Hazel to hear. It took but a second for the large Grizzly to take off towards the doe, signaling to the others to follow..

The others follow Boog carefully to sneak close to Nadine to get her. While Nadine was trying to sneak with the luggage, the guards in charge of the airports and planes were keeping a close eye on everything. It was gonna be hard for the doe to get on board to an plane without being spotted. Then she spotted a lady checking on the luggage that was going on the plane, but Nadine jump out just in time to get away before she was caught.
"I gotta find a way to sneak in. But how?" She said to herself. Little did she know Boog and the rest of the gang was following her.

As they approached the airfield, Boog could see Hazel getting to the outer taxiway first. The large grizzly was beginning to get out of breath. The airport looked big from the bank, but not this big. Just the width of the huge Taxiway alone must have been at least 150 feet! Boog couldn't help but think of how big the planes were gonna be when they got to one. A few minutes later, they were already crossing one of four huge runways. Boog had grown so out of breath that he collapsed on the edge of the tarmac. Little did he realise, a plane was just taxiing into position for take off...

Meanwhile back at the cave, Elliot sat at the opening, contemplating what Suri said bitterly. Her words rang in his ear, her face seeming to circle him in mid-air. This made the buck grow increasingly impatient and he finally let out a great big "SHUT UUUUPP!!! SHUT!! UP!!! LEAVE ME ALONE!!". As he screamed, he ran from the cave towards a small stream to stick his head under water in the hope that his apperitions would stop following him.
